Snake IO Unblocked is a multiplayer snake game that runs in your browser. The rules are simple: eat pellets to grow, make other snakes crash into you to eliminate them, avoid running into anyone larger. The leaderboard tells you exactly how far behind you are at all times.

The game is playable without downloads or installs, which is why it gets called “unblocked” — it works on restricted networks as long as you have a browser. No app store, no launcher, just load the page and play.

How to play

Your snake follows your cursor. Pellets are scattered across the arena and grow you slowly. The fast way to grow is to get another player to run their head into your body — they disappear and leave their entire mass as collectible pellets.

Boosting makes you faster for a moment. Use it to cut across another snake’s path, or to escape when someone’s trying to trap you.

Tips & Tricks

When you’re small, avoid the center. That’s where big snakes circle for easy kills. Stick to the edges and eat passively until you have enough length to play aggressively.

The coil trap is the most effective kill: move in a circle around a smaller snake so their only escape routes are through your body. It takes practice to set up, but it produces fast mass gains.

Don’t boost toward other snakes. Boosting shortens your reaction time and makes it easier to run into someone. Boost away from danger or across someone’s path — not directly at them.
