DMCA Policy

ScrandleGames embeds games built by other developers and studios. We respect intellectual property rights and respond to properly submitted takedown notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

Filing a takedown notice

If you believe content on ScrandleGames infringes your copyright, send a notice to [email protected] with the subject line "DMCA Takedown" and include all of the following — a notice missing any of these can't legally be acted on:

• A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or someone authorized to act on their behalf.
• Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
• Identification of the material you claim is infringing, including the specific URL on ScrandleGames where it appears.
• Your contact information — at minimum an address, phone number, or email address.
• A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
• A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.

What happens next

We review valid notices and remove or disable access to the reported content. Because most games here are embedded rather than hosted as our own original files, removal in some cases means unlisting the game from ScrandleGames rather than deleting a file — the underlying game may still exist on the original developer's own site.

Counter-notice

If content you posted or embedded was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you can send a counter-notice to the same address with your contact information, identification of the removed material, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed in error.

Repeat infringers

We keep track of valid takedown notices and will act against sources responsible for repeated, verified infringement, up to and including removing that content from the site permanently.
